This position reports to the Controller and will perform financial responsibilities associated with the Company's internal accounting in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Assist in preparing monthly journal entries, account reconciliations and related financial statement supporting schedules on a timely basis.
Maintain fixed asset records using Sage FAS software and reconcile to the general ledger. Maintain cash records, initiate wire transfers, and perform monthly bank reconciliations.
Serve as a backup for the Accounting Coordinator, including accounts payable, purchase order processing, sales order processing and inventory transactions.
Assist in reviewing expense reports. Payroll accounting activities including processing semimonthly payroll, uploading expense file, semi-monthly and quarterly payroll reports and W-2 reconciliation.
This individual must understand basic accounting concepts and financial statements as well as responsibilities associated with GAAP. Well-developed analytical and organizational skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills are required. Intermediate spreadsheet skills are required. Working knowledge of windows-based accounting systems and some database exposure is preferred. Previous experience with ADP Workforce. Awareness of payroll, labor and benefits regulations helpful.
Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance and one to two years of accounting experience, preferably including general ledger and financial reporting responsibilities.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
