Central Ohio Primary Care Physicians is seeking a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse at our COPC Internal Medicine Group office.
As a Medical Assistant/LPN for COPC you are joining a team that strives to be the best for Primary Care.
You will be leading the nation with a system that supports the entire care of each COPC patient.
A model we believe is THE BEST FOR PRIMARY CARE! This position is responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to ensure efficient delivery of primary health care and creating a positive patient experience.
This role will be full-time working first shift hours Mon-Thur 7:
45a-4:
14p and Friday 7:
45a-3:
30p.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND
Responsibilities:
o Work closely with the clinical care team to deliver the best care for our patients.
o Set-up EKG machines, administer injections, and perform routine specimen collection and tests.
o Interview patients regarding medical concerns and obtain medical history.
o Measure vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
Record vital signs and other health-related issues on patients' charts.
o Assist in performing routine medical procedures as requested.
o Prepare patients and treatment rooms for exams.
Drape patients with covering and positions instruments and equipment.
o Assist in patient education with related educational tools, periodicals, flyers, and handouts.
o Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.
o Maintain patient confidentiality in alignment with HIPAA regulation.
o Attend meetings and participate in classroom activities as needed.
o All other duties as assigned.

Education, Licensures & Certifications Required:
High school diploma or GEDPreferred:
State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Phlebotomist or equivalent clinical background/training.
Previous experience as a Patient Service Representative also considered.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
